Taxi Training Rhondda Cynon Taff, RCT

At Scribes Cardiff Ltd we are committed to providing training for all new Taxi Drivers and remedial training for older drivers. We provided training in the SQA Certificate Introduction to the role of a professional taxi and private hire driver. This course is a mandatory requirement for Rhondda Cynon Taff, RCT Licensing authorities. The course we provide is one week of intensive training to enable you to get qualified as soon as possible. It is in nine units which are as follows.

 

1. Work place health and safety

2. Safely transporting customers

3. Professional customer service

4. Maintaining safety of a licensed vehicle

5. The licensing regulations for England and Wales

6. Mobility and Wheelchair assistance

7. Plan routes and fares

8. Transporting luggage and parcels

9. Transporting schoolchildren and vulnerable adults

 

We believe that this qualification will form the basis of standards expected by every local authority in Wales. Rhondda Cynon Taff, RCT are effectively ahead of the curve and driving up the standards by requiring all their drivers to be trained properly in the absolute minimum standards that are required to be a safe effective and professional industry member. SQA are partnering with these local authorities to ensure this is achieved by having accredited centres of training providing certification. There are currently only two centres in Wales doing so and Scribes Cardiff Ltd is both the most successful with the greatest experience in training. We were at the vanguard of training having first trained in the level 2 BTEC qualification with Pearson education. We are pleased to be now offering the SQA replacement to the previous qualification.

Basic course requirements are a driving licence for at least 12 months (full B1 licence) the right to work in the UK and the ability to read and speak English to a minimum standard.
